Engineering firm WorleyParsons has won its first major offshore platform contract at a project in the North Sea between Europe and the United Kingdom.
WorleyParsons has been chosen to provide front-end engineering and design (FEED) definition and advanced procurement services for ConocoPhillips' Jasmine Area Development project.
The contract includes an option for detailed engineering, WorleyParsons said in a statement on Friday.
The company said the contract win followed its successful provision of FEED optimisation services for the Jasmine project.
WorleyParsons regional managing director for Europe and Africa Stuart Bradie said it reinforced the company's commitment to expand its offshore business in the North Sea.
Shares in WorleyParsons were eight cents stronger at $25.72.
