Becton Property Group Ltd says discussions about recapitalisation and acquisitions may explain the company's surge in share price.
The group's share price closed at 15.5 cents on Friday, January 9, but reached as high as 21 cents on Monday.
In a response to a query by the Australian Securities Exchange, the company said it was not aware of any information which could explain the recent trading in Becton securities.
"However, Becton Property Group has previously announced that it is in discussions with several parties in relation to recapitalisation and acquisition proposals," the company said in a statement.
"These discussions remain incomplete."
On Monday, Becton shares closed two cents, or 10.81 per cent, lower at 16.5 cents.
