Bendigo and Adelaide Bank has followed the major banks and increased its variable home and business loans by 25 basis points.
The increase, to be passed on to customers from March 9, matches the Reserve Bank of Australia's quarter of a percentage point increase on the cash rate earlier this week.
Bendigo Bank's residential variable home loan rate will increase to 6.95 per cent per annum.
Variable rates on the bank's third party mortgages will also increase by 0.25 per cent per annum, while there will be an increase in interest paid on "a wide range" of deposits, it said.
