BRAMBLES has completed an overhaul of its senior management with the appointment of a former Dell executive to head the company's European, Middle Eastern and African operations.
Dolph Westerbos will join Brambles in mid-April as group president of CHEP EMEA, the pallet supplier and information management company said.
Mr Westerbos was Dell's vice president of solutions and services in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, responsible for Dell's services, software and data centre business for large enterprise, managing sales revenue of $US2.5 billion ($A2.76 billion) in 50 countries.
Brambles chief executive Tom Gorman said in a statement: ''I am delighted to add an executive of Dolph's calibre to the Brambles executive leadership team. He has a strong operating background, considerable logistics and supply chain expertise and possesses a complementary skill-set to the other members of the team.''
The appointment of a group president was the ''last piece of the puzzle'', following a number of internal appointments made in January, he said. ''Dolph's perspective on the deployment of emerging technologies will be invaluable as we look to expand our footprint and develop our services around the world.''
Acting CHEP EMEA group president Peter Mackie will take over as group president of CHEP Asia-Pacific in early May after a handover period to Mr Westerbos.
