Game show host talks up Cudeco's share price

September 9, 2010

THE battering Wayne McCrae's Cudeco shares took after last month's disappointing resource ''upgrade'' at the company's Rocklands copper project in Queensland means Mr McCrae can do with all the support he can muster.

Game show host John Burgess has come to the rescue. In a video shot at Rocklands and posted on Cudeco's website (cudeco.com.au), Burgess gives his friend Mr McCrae a welcome boost.

''People might say he is a bit of a loud mouth, or he shouts his mouth off, or talks before thinking and things like that. But that's the way he is,'' Burgess, a Cudeco shareholder says. ''He's a go-getter. Always on the go.''

The Burgess apologia doesn't say much about Rockland's mining potential. But Burgess does say that when Cudeco does dig the ''big hole'' up there, he will be there.

Cudeco was trading at under $2 a share yesterday. That compares with the $4.79 a share it commanded before the market showed it was none too impressed with last month's resource upgrade.
