Australia's McGuigan Wines has been named winemaker of the year at the prestigious International Wine and Spirit Competition.
McGuigan also won the Australian producer of the year trophy, presented during an awards ceremony at London's Guildhall.
Chief winemaker Neil McGuigan collected a third prize - the Jancis Robinson trophy for riesling - for McGuigan Earth's Portrait Riesling 2004.
"Winning any trophy is fantastic, winning an international trophy is unbelievable because you're not just going up against your Australian peers, you're going up against everyone around the world," Mr McGuigan said.
Paul Schaafsma, the general manager UK and Europe for Australian Vintage, which owns the McGuigan brand, said he was delighted. "We are absolutely over the moon with these fantastic results," Mr Schaafsma said.
In total, McGuigan Wines won one trophy, three gold, six silver and four bronze medals including eight "best in class" awards.
Mr McGuigan, who was named white winemaker of the year at the International Wine Challenge in London in September, said 2009 was a breakthrough year for the brand.
The 2007 McGuigan Shortlist Chardonnay won the Australian chardonnay trophy, the South Australian white wine trophy and the Adelaide Hills white trophy at the challenge.
At the Decanter World Wine Awards in September, the 2003 McGuigan Earth's Portrait Riesling won the best Australian riesling over £10 ($18) trophy.
